Community Reviews
Absolutely Incredible
reviewed on: 08/31/2017 by AnonymousThe CherryWood Village is an absolutely incredible and fantastic place to live. We could not be happier with our choice. We thought it was going to be a long process of deciding where to move until we toured this community and knew it was the one. They offer lots of activities that they have posted on weekly and monthly calendars. We've already participated in a recent luau party for the residents. We are still getting settled into our apartment which is exactly perfect for us. We were able to choose the color of paint for the walls and had new carpeting installed. there is a fireplace and the view from our window is beautiful. The residents are very friendly and welcoming. The marketing director suggested to my wife and me to sit at a table for four instead of for two and the next thing we know another couple will ask to join us and we get acquainted and make new friends. We would definitely recommend this community to others.
I like them except...
reviewed on: 05/01/2014 by AnonymousI like them except for the food. It’s too salty and that is really not good for seniors to eat. I’d give everything else a four or a five, but the food is so important to being healthy. They have said they’d improve on that and I hope to see progress.
Need to change with the times.
reviewed on: 09/19/2017 by AnonymousMy parents have lived here as independents but now they cannot do as much as they use too outside the facility. They are still very independent but now they rely on Cherrywood to provide activties for them and there are very little for them. Yes the calendar looks full but when you get do to it there is very little to do throughout the day. There are organized exercises for them but not too many other things. There is bible study, bells, band, chess, bridge, and pool but how many people know how to do these things at 84 and no one is there to help organize; you are on your own. Nothing at night except a prayer meeting or a movie. and very little to do on the weekends. This is when seniors need activities the most. they are losing their independents so now the retirement homes need to help provide things for them to socialize and be involved with at a level about assistant living but not completely independent. My hope is this company finds something for these residents. Something involving the floors, to get people involved. Unfortanately my parents are bored now and so I am looking for a facility that can address this need.
A home for care
reviewed on: 09/06/2017 by AnonymousWe like this community for the good care. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The staff helpful. The community is clean and very nice at all times. The menu is appealing and a lot to choose from. We have liked the meals that we have been able to have with her. I like knowing that she is active with the activities that are offered.
The staff and decor are nice
reviewed on: 01/08/2018 by AnonymousMy Brother-In-Law seems to be doing very well at this facility. What I really like is they seemed to be very well-staffed and they are professional. For activities they have things like bus trips, an in-house movie theater, and craft classes. When I went to visit him, I saw a bunch of the ladies sitting at a table, helping staff fold laundry. I would recommend this facility to other families.
