Community Reviews
Overall good experience to date
reviewed on: 08/18/2020 by AnonymousThis community has done a pretty good job overall, i would just like to see a little more communication from them. Since COVID they have been a little better about communicating with the families. They provide arts and crafts for the residents, but as of right now we aren't sure what activities they still have for their residents. They have made secure areas with plexiglass that allows families to see their loved ones. The food was just okay. The layout is perfect, it was formally a hotel. All the rooms have their own AC/heating units. My mom is in a single room. As of right now this community has had no cases of residents getting sick with COVID. One thing that really stood out to us was that it had a great atmosphere, and is cost effective for us.
A Little More Clear Upfront
reviewed on: 01/18/2016 by AnonymousThey need to be a little more clear upfront. I was quoted a price and they did not explain that because of the level of care required for my loved one, it was going to cost extra. Everything else about the place was wonderful though, and she really likes it there.
Chestnut Ridge
reviewed on: 07/14/2019 by Betty ManderfieldThere are good & bad everywhere, however my Mom is calmer at chestnut ridge, likes it and has a wonderful care taker named Latasha. LaTasha is soft spoken, knows how to deal with the dementia residences, and treats them individually. She should be commended. And she should have assistance. These caretakers have a tough job. On the downside, there are always missing items like hearing aids, bedspreads, clothes. In addition, the washers & dryers need to be replaced on the 5th floor.
Fulling All Our Needs
reviewed on: 10/10/2016 by AnonymousMy mother is still adjusting to this community, but she is in good hands here. They have great staff here, they are caring for her well. The community looks great, everything is very well maintained. There are many activities offered daily for the residents. She is pleased with the meals. They are fulling all our needs, this is a great place. I know she is being cared for well here. I would recommend this community, it has worked out good for us.
Dad's happy and it meets our needs
reviewed on: 08/22/2013 by MaryWe haven't had any issues with the care, my dad seems to like the place. It's affordable and he's an elderly person so he doesn't need to live alone. They communicate with my brother and he's said so far there haven't been any problems. They're pretty easy to talk to and they answer questions as we ask them, there's no long waiting periods and they share information with us. I think it's pretty good considering costs and everything. It meets our needs and objectives, the location is convinient, off of a major highway. I think they do have outings and I believe once he went out with them, he's made friends there and they take him to the supermarket and sometimes he uses the little can they have for doctors appointments.
