Family & Religious Activities— anchored by the outstanding efforts of Reverend Ford, Great Bend Wesleyan Church, and South Montrose Community Church. Active Activities—Movement is key to quality of life and longevity. Active Activities are anchored by the 8:45 morning (Monday through Friday) classes, augmented by fun activities that involve movement. Our new and improved exercise area with its DVD workouts, allow many of our residents who are self-starters, to do things alone or in small groups. Semi-Active Activities—Mental fitness is every bit as important to our longevity and life enjoyment as the aforementioned physical fitness. At GLE, we give our people what they want—And that’s a wide variety, from the tried-and-true (and beloved), like B-I-N-G-O through a hodge podge of others. Entertainment—Live or on DVD…Active or passive…It doesn’t matter. Simply put, who on this Earth doesn’t like to have a good time? We have a great tradition of entertainment, with long-favored performers, karaoke sin-g alongs, and movies, movies, movies, among other things. The popcorn’s is fresh, warm, buttery, and there is a lot of it. Our subscription to Netflix has brought the Information (and Entertainment) Age to Montrose, letting our individual residents do what moguls only used to dream. We also do themed activities. For example, on Elvis Presley’s Birthday (January 8th), at 8:45, you have “Toning with Elvis,” followed by Elvis Facts (a trivia game), at 10:00. Well, if that didn’t leave you “All Shook Up,” I guess “You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog (Howlin’ All Night Long).” We definitely take pride in our Activity Program, with a broad and varied and deep array of offerings. This is “our” program, and it is our residents’ program, too. -

very accommodating
reviewed on: 08/24/2015 by AnonymousThe patient placed in Gracious Living Estates skill level is greater than they can manage there. They were very accommodating here but unable to manage the resident living there. You get what you pay for at this facility as far as the value goes. Overall it is a good place just not for us.
Nice, clean, friendly supervision for alzheimers suffer
reviewed on: 04/05/2016 by AnonymousThis facility was very receptive and open for a tour, we were shown all the different areas of the facility and introduced to staff. All staff were helpful and friendly. Facility is very clean and all staff participate in assisting residents. This can provide medication oversight but there are no RN or physicians on staff. This facility is exactly what our family required - supervision services 24-7 for my husband who is now experiencing the difficulties associated with alzheimers of remembering how to use the phone, take medications and manage finances. I can work away from home knowing he is safe during the week.
A Good Personal Care Home
reviewed on: 08/01/2016 by AnonymousThey are taking good care of my grandmother and her needs. I do feel she is safe and receiving good care. The home is very well maintained inside and out. The staff have been helpful and kind, she enjoys the staff. There are activities offered for the residents. She says she hasn't had a bad meal, so I'm pretty sure the food is well. Overall this is a personal care home I would recommend.
