Community Reviews
A place you can trust your loved ones with.
reviewed on: 05/22/2019 by Gary NelsonMy Mother was living at Birches for a couple years, The care was top notch! They hire very nice people and nobody is left behind. Lots of activities to keep them going. Meals are very good. The place is kept very clean. It's a place where you would like to retire and meet lots of new friends and get the utmost care for a fair cost. Kim the Director is very nice and she is always in touch. Jason the head nurse is "In touch with all that comes his way". He kept me informed about any issues my mother had. The staff who helped my mother in her daily routine ( ie. getting in and out of bed and bathing and keeping her busy through out her day) were the best! She was Known as Aunt Doris to the staff and she was treated like family. Also this place has its own onsite physical therapy (FOX).
Review of The Birches At Newtown
reviewed on: 07/31/2020 by Nick B.Our Birches experience with mom's care was an overall pleasant and extremely satisfying one. Making the correct decision on where to place a loved one in need of personal and/or memory care, can be wrought with tough decisions, questions and doubt. We feel that The Birches, starting with executive director and the staff gave our mom the dedicated care that we were hoping for. The Birches helped us realize that we made the right decision in placing mom. So, on behalf of our family, we wish to offer you and your staff a gigantic THANKS! Again, [name removed], thanks for all your kindness and assistance.
First Choice!
reviewed on: 10/16/2019 by Jenny ChildsLast year, we began the big search to find where Mom would be living next. She was somewhere between the need for assisted living and memory care. We fell in love with The Birches and it became our first choice. The atmosphere, beauty and friendly, caring staff like Carole Williams made it an easy choice. Unfortunately, for our family, the distance was an issue for the extended family and we had to go elsewhere. Would totally recommend to others who want the best for Mom or Dad!
Excellent care coordination
reviewed on: 11/11/2021 by Kristin FThe Birches provides compassionate care for all their residents. They provide a full-time physical therapist and exercise physiologist that provide tailored exercise classes and 1 to 1 wellness sessions in order to keep their residents functioning at their maximum potential. They have excellent communication between the management staff and family members to ensure all parties are informed and understanding of the care plan for their loved one.
Review of The Birches at Newtown - Newtown, PA
reviewed on: 02/22/2016 by AnonymousI visited last Monday it appeared to be nice enough I took a tour. It was positive with exception of the strong odor at the entrance to the memory unit that lingers. I saw I lot of positive interactions while on the tour between the clients and the staff.
