Excellent Facility
reviewed on: 12/12/2013 by mjPlacing my mother in assisted living was one of the most difficult decisions I ever made in my life, however, I see now it was one of the best. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for the care the staff takes of my mother, they are wonderful and feel very blessed to have found this facility.
Very nice

Negative experience
reviewed on: 10/02/2020 by AnonymousBeware! Up until the past couple of weeks my family was satisfied with the care my mother received at the Haven. Recently we were informed that Covid 19 had been found at the Haven. This week my mother developed a fever, and the staff at the Haven sent her to Allegheny General. She has tested positive for the virus but has remained a symptomatic for several days. The hospital is ready to discharge her but the Haven has refused to allow her back. They have stated that they are not equipped to handle residents with Covid despite the fact that she got it while in their care. My father paid her bill for the month of October and as of October 1st they are refusing to issue a refund. She had a private room at the facility and quarantined there in May when she was first admitted We are now scrambling to find a safe place for mom. The situation is intolerable. They have had six months to formulate a working plan for this eventuality and gave us absolutely no indication that this was a possibility. They have absolutely handled this with a distinct lack of professionalism and compassion. We are horrified.
