Special People fired
reviewed on: 09/20/2018 by SadReviews of Franke Home at Seaside Sept. 20, 2018 Having both of my parents spend years in assisted living, I decided to volunteer after they passed away. I volunteered at Franke for 11 years. I led a group called "Brain Games." I saw brilliant, beautiful, experienced, fun and wise residents come and go. I saw 3 Activities Directors go. The last two directors were fired suddenly with no opportunity to say good-bye to residents. The relationships they build are deep. A severence package is not the problem, broken hearts are. I spoke up against the last firing and crossed a line by repeatedly complaining about it to residents. I was let go. Check staff turnover if you are looking for a home. I was told that the decision was corporate. All 3 activities directors were special souls.
