Great place

reviewed on: 10/22/2020 by S Horton

I have been at summit hills for 4 weeks now. Summit hills therapy is fantastic . Beautiful and clean and staff care . Very clean and food is good . I really enjoy the activities . I haven’t used water colors in years and had fun doing it again . The exercise is even fun I am sleeping all night and haven’t done that in years . I think this is a great place for anyone who is looking for a rehab or a common to move into.

I was in the skilled facility before and I chose to come back to Summit hills. The activities gave me purpose and kept my mind active. I made blankets for mother’s who could not afford them and attach a prayer card to each blanket . Therapy is great and the community is clean. I recommend Summit Hills to anyone who is looking for a skilled community

Summit Hills

My grandma went in right before quarantine started. That was a hard time for her and us. However, the staff have treated her with the utmost respect and care. Laura has been great with her helping with window visits and all the little things which are in fact the big things. All her nurses though like Andrew have been amazing and treated her like family. Definitely recommend this place for anyone trying to decide.

Pleased with decision

I had lived on the West Coast for many years. My son is a long-time resident of Spartanburg. After my husband died, my son urged me to move near him and recommended Summit Hills because he’d heard many good things about it. After I turned 90 years in age, in 2012 I sold my house and took him up on his suggestion and moved to an apartment in Summit Hills. Since then, I’ve been so pleased with the friendly and helpful residents and staff. We are kept pleasantly occupied and exercised. They take us to stores, banks, and medical/ dental appointments (important, since my car was left behind.) I plan to spend the rest of my life here. I enjoy the wellness classes. We have such wonderful instructors who are great with setting workout plans and feedback. I also go to weekly Bible study, Jeopardy, and many more events. I quite enjoy visiting people in Assisted Living- people I know and don’t know. I am quite busy, I can’t remember it all. It is nice to be in a place that has activities where you are cared for and transported. You are as busy as you want to be. Everybody is a friend. They are all lovely people here with interesting backgrounds. Since I have been here, I have been cared for by everyone - maintenance staff, social directors, dining staff, wellness staff, etc. It is truly a wonderful thing.

Retirement as it should be

We moved here while in our early 70's and built our cottage 3 years ago. we have found it to be a great place to live. There are enough social activities to keep you busy as well as being involved in the residents' advisory board if you opt to do so. Our neighbors are a great group of people and it is exceptionally easy to meet new people and develop new friendships. Management and staff do an excellent job of providing safety and a wide range of services. It's just really nice not having to take care of home and lawn maintenance and only having to worry about what you will choose from the menu for your next meal. Moving to Summit hills is retirement as it should be. we couldn't be happier.
