Great community
reviewed on: 10/23/2020 by C CostaI was in the skilled facility before and I chose to come back to Summit hills. The activities gave me purpose and kept my mind active. I made blankets for mother’s who could not afford them and attach a prayer card to each blanket . Therapy is great and the community is clean. I recommend Summit Hills to anyone who is looking for a skilled community
One Big Family
reviewed on: 01/29/2015 by D. BallardI came to Summit Hills a year ago last Halloween for the same reason that probably 80% of the other residents did- a family member lives here in Spartanburg. We moved here to be close to them. They were informed that Summit Hills was a great retirement community. I was concerned about leaving all of my friends at home and not knowing anyone here. After two or three days of getting settled in my apartment, I was visited by several residents at my apartment and welcomed with open arms. I learned the residents’ names by eating dinner with different residents each night. I soon learned that we all have so much in common. I tell everyone that we are just one big happy family. We take care of each other. It doesn’t take very long to meet someone you can call your best friend- just like you had at home. This is my home now. I love all of the people here at Summit Hills. The people who work here call each one of us by our name and are included in our family. Come to Summit Hills- you will love us too!
Summit Hills Memory Care
reviewed on: 12/14/2020 by lee65We moved my mother into Summit Hills Memory Care Unit a few months ago. We have been very happy with the care she is receiving. The staff have bent over backwards to make sure that both my mom and us kids are happy with this move. Everyone is so friendly and caring. COVID has made visitation a real challenge but Summit Hills has done everything possible to ensure we still get to visit with our loved one. It is never an easy thing to move a loved one into a facility but if you are considering it check out Summit.
Retirement as it should be
reviewed on: 11/04/2020 by BPWe moved here while in our early 70's and built our cottage 3 years ago. we have found it to be a great place to live. There are enough social activities to keep you busy as well as being involved in the residents' advisory board if you opt to do so. Our neighbors are a great group of people and it is exceptionally easy to meet new people and develop new friendships. Management and staff do an excellent job of providing safety and a wide range of services. It's just really nice not having to take care of home and lawn maintenance and only having to worry about what you will choose from the menu for your next meal. Moving to Summit hills is retirement as it should be. we couldn't be happier.
Great place to live

I have even had friends and neighbors move in because I love summit hills so much. The nurses and aid are so kind and helpful. Food is wonderful and looks great on the plate. I love the activities . They are fun and creative . The cna are wonderful and care so much. They help in any way they can. The community is clean and housekeeping keeps my apartment nice ann clean. The residents who live here get along well and I have become friends with many. Therapy is fantastic , just great . They work with me and make working fun. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Summit Hills. Moving to summit Hills was the best decision I have made. I feel Regina, ED has done a great job. She works hard, has a lot of ideas, and goes that extra mile for us. I highly recommend Summit Hills for anyone looking for a community.
