Community Reviews
Home Sweet Home
reviewed on: 11/17/2016 by AnonymousThis is a nice community. The atmosphere is like being at home.A very clean community with excellent staff. I did like the staff who were very nice, but I knew my mom would like the new environment and not older. The rooms were not the size that my mom would of been comfortable in. The activities would of been good for my mom here. The menu seemed appealing here. I would recommend the care and value here for other families.

reviewed on: 09/30/2019 by C BurkeSodalis Garden Ridge has been a great transition for my dad. FOr the past 3 years he has been taken care of with healthy meals, clean rooms, activities but most of all caring people. All the management, nurse, cooks, assistants, cleaning crew all have a vested interest in my dad's well being. I have peace of mind when I'm not there and that's all I can ask for.
Review of Sodalis Garden Ridge
reviewed on: 09/30/2019 by MichelleMy mom has been in the Memory Care at Sodalis for over a year now. The staff of caregivers are all amazing. She loves the food and enjoys the activities. The rooms and living areas are beautiful and it feels like home. I feel like everyone here truly cares about my mom and takes excellent care of her. We feel so blessed to have found Sodalis.
Definitely worth taking the time to look at among your list of other places.
reviewed on: 06/10/2021 by AAThe staff that I dealt with were super nice. They had just gotten a brand new community director, so I tried to give them some grace as he was getting acclimated. Thing might be better now that he's been there longer. But the staff were very helpful and seemed to really care. The day we dropped her off, I was not all that impressed, especially for a respite stay. We had to bring everything, including a shower curtain and her own toilet paper. When we got there to her room, there were still dirty sheets on the bed with dog hair all over them. They took care of it pretty quickly. I just wish the room had been ready for her. The room in general just didn't feel clean. It was dusty. They also told us that they did laundry every few days, but later I found dirty clothes stuck in the closet and on the shelf where her clean clothes were. She has dementia, so I think they just needed to be more on top of things with her and coach her more. I wasn't able to visit as much with Covid and couldn't tell what was going on. They told us their meals were chef prepared, but the one lunch I saw was something I could have prepared and was delivered cold. So I wasn't impressed, but I'm not sure what the other meals were like. She also had a health condition that required pushing lots of water, and I only saw an 8-oz glass of iced tea and a 4-oz glass of water. So I don't think they were pushing the water for her. But they just had a new director, and Snowmageddon had just happened. If I were talking to someone, I would say go visit because things may be better. I'd like to give credit to one of the maintenance workers. When we got there, we had to bring her own TV, and he worked really hard to make sure that got set up for her. He was so nice. She only had a bed in her room at the time, and he went and got a recliner for her so she would have something to sit in in her room. He was fabulous. And I really did like that the community is kind of away from things. She had a pretty view out her window and could watch the deer. So the aesthetics of the place, especially the outside, were very nice.
