A Place for Dad
reviewed on: 05/23/2016 by CAROLYNOur 90 year old Dad had been living in a Senior Retirement Independent Living apartment for the past 14 years, but his health and mobility had started to decline, so we began a search for an Assisted Living facility to move him to. Dancing River was on the list of places recommended by A Place for Mom. What we liked about Dancing River was it was very similar to the IL apartment he had been living in , but on a much smaller scale. The location was another key factor in our decision as it was convenient for his children to visit on a daily basis. The staff and caretakers are very friendly. He has only been living at DR for a couple of weeks, but so far, it's all good!
Help For the Whole Family
reviewed on: 06/11/2021 by GMI've been very happy with them and very pleased. Everybody is very nice and easy to work with. I think they're taking good care of my loved one. He's more involved and active, and talking more than he was at home. We've had some physical, medical issues and they're always right on top of everything. They always call me with anything they think I need to know. So far it's going very well. And I've already recommended them to others. They've helped me as much as they're helping him.
Great staff, poor executive management

Management is not visible and the new director, who has been there about 6 months (there is a revolving door of executive directors), is never seen in memory care. If the people who care for mom daily weren't so awesome I would have moved her out.

Dancing River
reviewed on: 11/12/2020 by Nancy BarberI recently moved my father to Dancing River. Both my in-laws had lived there very happily a few years ago. I was pleased to find many of the same wonderful staff members that had so compassionately cared for them. The entire staff has helped make this transition for my dad (and me) easy and fun. Due to COVID they arranged to have his furniture packed, moved and set up for him so when he walked in his apartment for the first time he saw his things set up like home! He loves the staff and the food, and we are grateful that he is in a community where the staff clearly has a passion for what they do. -Dana & Nancy Barber
