Community Reviews
Very safe and secure community
reviewed on: 09/04/2015 by AnonymousOverall I think they do a good job at Brookdale Irving. The facility is clean and well kept, and for the most part they do a good job taking care of the residents. I do think that they could improve their communication process, it can be a little hit or miss trying to get in touch with the appropriate person, but they are working on that. One thing I do like is that Brookdale Irving takes the security of its residents very seriously. They have a very regimented sign in process for all visitors and vendors.
A Wonderful Place For Her To Be
reviewed on: 05/18/2016 by AnonymousMy mother is doing very well at this community. The community is well-kept, but I do think the community should smell better. The staff has been really great. I would like for the staff to encourage her more to participate in the activities. I would recommend it, but also look into other community that has more activities.
No real kitchens in the rooms
reviewed on: 08/23/2013 by TerrieEmeritus was good. The only deciding factor was that they didn't have a big kitchen facility so for someone who was not ready to move to a real assisted living place that was too much of a change. They had counter space were you could put a coffee pot or some thing and a sink but no baking facility. Of course they had a dining room. It was just going to be too radical a change for my mom.

Brookdale Irving
reviewed on: 11/14/2017 by AnonymousBrookdale has been a great experience for my mother so far. The staff is very attentive to their clientele, which is a big positive for me. The sales staff and the director made sure that all our questions were answered upfront so we could all be on the same page. There was a noise issue between my mother and her neighbor, but the staff remedied the situation very quickly. My mother is also very happy with the food there. I've seem the menus, and they seem very well balanced. She's also enjoying the activities and games there. Overall, it's been pleasant at Brookdale, and I would recommend the community to others.
