Memory Care for My Dad
reviewed on: 11/05/2017 by Stan TraxerI have been my father's care giver for the last three and half years. My father will be 99 on 12/31/2017 and has been diagnosed with "Late Stage Alzheimer's Disease. The decision to move father to memory care facility was a join effort including Dad;s cardiologist, Hospice and the staff at Arbor House Memory Care. When I was taking care of Dad at the house, he needed constant monitoring. He just had to be on the move all the time. It got to the point it was not safe for my Dad to be at the house. The hunt for a facility that provided Memory Care started. I reviewed eight different facilities. Arbor House: Had in my opinion, the best Staff (They were engaged. Had a game plan and scheduled activities for every day of the month. You will not believe how much peace this will bring to your love one. The staff is great and well trained. Clients to Caregivers ratio is excellent. Needless to say that having to take your father to a memory care facility in the first place really Sucks. Seeing my Dad in safe environment with a lot of activity helps to deal with the guilt. SG Traxler
Nice looking place
reviewed on: 03/04/2014 by D BI toured this community when I was looking into care options for my loved one. I thought this place looked very nice, the facility itself was beautiful, and the staff I spoke with seemed friendly and helpful. This really was an option I was considering, although I decided against it based on advice from friends. They said that the care here is adequate but that it is very much a "business" and their loved one never felt at home.
My Love One Is Well In This Community
reviewed on: 08/31/2017 by AnonymousMy aunt is doing well since her move to this community. They have a good staff in this facility, and they are taking good care of her, and her needs. Her room, and the community are well maintained when I visit. She is doing well, and I'am satisfied with her move to this community. I would recommend it.
I would recommend to anybody
reviewed on: 02/18/2021 by anonymousI have had no complaints about Lakeshore Assisted Living and Memory Care. We looked all over this area and this one was by far the best out of the ones that we saw. They do have a variety of room sizes depending on what you need, I am happy with my room size. I would recommend to others looking.
Wonderful staff. Memory locked Alzhe...
reviewed on: 12/24/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerWonderful staff. Memory locked Alzheimer's unit reasonably priced. One year old. Elegant surroundings. 5 minutes from our home. one bedroom private with separate living room and kitchen walk in bath closet. Going to her back and gradually ease her in on Assisted Living secure side of facility before putting her in the Alzheimer's Care units. Lunch, then bring her home, view of her room, then more and more time there should make the transition a bit easier for all of us I think.
