Some Gaps in the Care
reviewed on: 08/06/2013 by AnnIn some situations the care is good and in some it's not so good. Some CNAs respond whenever you ring your bell and some don't and they don't always do what they're supposed to like making up the bed or making sure my husband is wearing depends. I'm capable of doing things and asking for something when I need it but he is not so my concern is for him. His room is messy sometimes or his floor is wet and they don't get in here an clean it. Whenever I'm away from here I don't know for sure if he's being taken care of the way that I want him to be taken care of. Some of the people here are great, they really are and the housekeepers are really nice. I just have to tell myself not to be so picky. The food and all that is very good.
Isle at Watermere is outstanding!!
reviewed on: 07/21/2016 by AnonymousThey offer a lot of activities at this community. The aides and the staff in charge of the activities are very inviting and encouraging. We absolutely love this place they are a good match for us. We enjoy the food. Mom has a special diet and they do all they can to help provide food she can eat. This community gets my recommendation. They offer 4 levels of care for dementia residents.
Search No More
reviewed on: 08/21/2015 by KMWMy Mother has been at the Isle at Watermere for 2 years. We were most impressed from the moment we walked in to visit, and after 2 short weeks of being a resident, my Mother said, "This is home." The care, food, activities, and on-site rehab facility make for a great situation. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one, your search is over. Take it from someone who knows first-hand!
Extremely Satisified!
reviewed on: 08/05/2015 by GarryI moved both my parents to the Isle at Watermere several months ago. My father resides in assisted living, my mother in memory care. I am a local veterinarian and have been searching for the right care facility for my parents for several years. This is our third move for them and based upon the interactions I have thus far with the management and staff, I feel certain this will be our last move. The Isle by far provides the best care I have yet to see my parents receive. The staff is well-trained, dedicated, observant, and compassionate. I have learned there is no “perfect” AL or MC facility and there can be issues that arise from time to time with all of them. What the Isle offers that others have not is an adequate trained staff to resident ratio and a management team that will sit down and listen to any concern that I have, any time, and will resolve it to my satisfaction quickly and with genuine care and understanding. I have also learned that this season of life with my parents is a team effort…. It takes regular interaction of family with caregivers, nursing staff, medical and therapy providers, and management to achieve the best outcome in care. This interaction must be done in a professional way with dignity and respect and a commitment to make things work. The food is excellent and there are always activities going on to keep them engaged. It truly is a family atmosphere; everyone seems to look out for one another. Also, a new Family Council forum has recently been launched to provide even more solutions-based interaction between residents, families of residents, and management to improve the standards of excellence the Isle strives to uphold.
