Community Reviews
They Are Doing Great
reviewed on: 08/11/2017 by AnonymousMy dad is doing great, it was a little adjustment at first but going good now. We love the facility. It is bright and airy and there is more for them to do. They were my favorite when touring. I like that they can go outside and walk in the garden when he wants. They also have a mini golf course and he loves golf. The staff answer any calls and texts. He is starting to get involved with the activities and they sent us some picture of him being involved. He is eating all of the meals and it looks good and pretty healthy.
They recently took this community over, and are still ramping up.
reviewed on: 07/27/2015 by AnonymousThey recently took this community over, and are still ramping up. They have some relatively new staff and are still working on completing all the Silverado training. I think it has been an improvement for those that were under the old management. I think an established Silverado community would have a bit more structured activities, and some other things, that haven't quite been set up yet. The people are nice, I don't have any complaints about the people, or anything like that. It is a bit more expensive than other places we looked at though.
Friendly But Not The Right Fit
reviewed on: 03/04/2017 by AnonymousWhen we spoke about what they can do and what they can't do, they were not able to accept one with feeding tubes. There were no problems and were upfront when I asked them questions. It was helpful getting useful feedback to ensure I was picking the right place for my loved one.
an Attorney's view
reviewed on: 03/26/2019 by earl hLast week I was invited to come by the "community" ( as they refer to their facilities), and discuss my experience in elder law planning ( I am an attorney in the area) and chat with management and various staff members. I believe they were seeking an attorney to bounce questions off and perhaps to assist family members in elder law planning. The staff asked intelligent questions indicating they had an interest in their work and I sought to reveal my experiences in 19 years as an attorney. The facility was clean, did not smell and the clients appeared quiet and content. The rooms were surprisingly large and almost like a nice hotel room with a refrigerator and a view of the plaza. Apparently there had been staff problems and many of the old staff members had been let go. Beware, these same staff members are now working at other facilities in the Area! I was on site for about 1.5 hours and visited each neighborhood (as they refer to each building in a community) except for the advanced Alzheimer's unit. I was very much impressed and would recommend this outfit to anyone who could afford its costs. You get what you pay for.
They really focus on showing dignity
reviewed on: 10/13/2015 by AnonymousSilverado Southlake Memory Care Community has been a good experience. They are still building up their activity program since they are a new facility. The staff are really friendly. They are doing a great job at accommodating my fathers dietary restrictions. They really focus on showing dignity to their residents and that is something I appreciate.
