Community Reviews
Too closed in for my taste
reviewed on: 12/12/2017 by AnonymousWhile looking for a place for my father, this location was recommended to me. They have nice people on their staff team. Their personnel overall is very good, fantastic even. The only thing that I didn’t like was their layout. It seemed too closed in. Their dining room is really dinky, very narrow hallways, and cramped setting. People who use walkers and wheelchairs need more space to move around so it would be more ideal to have larger hallways.
Exceptional individualized care
reviewed on: 04/28/2021 by Kathryn IWe chose Courtyard at Jamestown initially because my mother had friends who had lived there and they all had good experiences. Then, when she toured she liked the feel and look of it and thought it would be a good fit for them. My dad is in their enhanced memory care unit and his room is not huge, but it is perfectly adequate for what he needs right now. We like the fact that they try as much as possible to keep the residents out of their rooms doing activities and interacting with others during the day. Their activities director and the staff members who help with activities are AMAZING. They have calendars that are filled with activities every single day and they have a great variety. The staff really interact and keep track of each individual and their needs and what they like and dislike. They really just go above and beyond for their residents. It is pretty expensive, but I believe it is worth it because of the amount of personalized care that they are receiving every single day. I would highly recommend this facility to others who are looking.
Best place ever
reviewed on: 05/18/2020 by Jody BergerMy mother was only there for about 6 months, but the staff even during that short time was unbelievable. The meals were second to none. There was a flu that went around and the staf fmade sure they immediately took action to protect the residents. During Covid-19, the community was very quick to act and ensure the safety of all the residents. We had a wonderful experience here. The value of the community was definitely worth it. The in-house care giving staff was amazing. They were all very caring and quick to react when needed. At the end of February my mother briefly had to go to hospital and then rehab. The RN that they brought in, however, wasn't able to detect an affliction that my mother had. They provided a ton of activities for the residents. My mother didn't often participate in the actives, but when she did, she loved it! I don't think I've ever seen such a quantity of activities provided at a community like this, but also the variety was outstanding.
I would recommend Courtyard at Jamestown Assisted Living!!!
reviewed on: 09/06/2016 by AnonymousThe food is delicious and there is plenty of it. The kitchen staff ask the residents their needs and preferences and cater to them. The staff are caring, very nice, knowledgable and it is a loving atmosphere. The community is kept clean and they have beautiful flower beds around the building. They offer various activities including fishing and feeding the ducks.
