Very responsive and proactive staff
reviewed on: 11/27/2017 by AnonymousDad is here currently and things are good so far. His safety has been very important to me and the staff has been very attentive, they’re able to answer my questions and they’re easy to communicate with. They do different activities like bingo, church, popcorn and movies, and they’ve even had country bands come in and play live music for them. The staff will even take the time to go and ask all of the residents if they want to participate for each event. Dad says the food is good and hasn’t had any complaints. The facility is kept pretty clean; he is in a shared room that has a bathroom that’s shared between him and 4 other gentlemen so sometimes you’ll catch the bathroom dirty, but they’ve been proactive about cleaning things, especially if I ask them to. I was looking for a place that would be cost efficient, as he is on a fixed income, and this was the closest that worked with us. The price that we pay per month is all inclusive except for any additional help with incontinence issues, the barber shop, or help with medication. They’re very small things that you would have to pay extra for. Overall, I would recommend them.
Cozy and comfortable place for dad
reviewed on: 09/14/2020 by JackieWe chose Hughes Home because my dad was in early stages of dementia and we wouldn't have to move him, he could continue staying here. Also, the staff members and owners were very friendly. They have different options on room sizes depending on what you want for your loved one. My dad is very happy with the food, he has never complained. They have a menu every week and the residents get to choose what they want, they also have a cafeteria they can eat in or they can eat in their room. My favorite part about the community is the fact that the owners are very familiar with each and every one of the residents. The residents have a cozy and comfortable relationship with them.
Mom is happy her
reviewed on: 12/19/2017 by AnonymousMy mom is in this community and loves it. The staff seems to genuinely care. Mom is well taken care of she is bedridden but they are great with her. Very attentive to her needs. Her room is always clean. She eats well. The staff have been here a long time too. This is a little less expensive compared to other places. I would recommend this community.

Helpful Staff
reviewed on: 01/23/2018 by AnonymousOverall, things have been going very well for my loved one at Hughes Home. I feel that the staff has been very helpful to us. They are generally very on top of everything and they constantly check on my loved one. The food seems very good, and they do have a lot of activities for the residents. Sometimes, trays are left out and things are not always cleaned up the way I would like, but they do keep the community very tidy as a whole.
