Good Place to Call Home
reviewed on: 11/10/2018 by Lydia WestonMy sister-in-law has been in assisted living at Spring Arbor for 11 months. It has become home for her and she has made friends and feels very comfortable there. The staff is friendly and the care is excellent. They have activities of which she has been a part. She is confined to a wheelchair and the aides are always available for her. I am very pleased with the facilities and the staff.
Mom's home
reviewed on: 06/01/2017 by AnonymousMy mother was a resident at Spring Arbor for three years until she passed away recently. Mom was a really great person, but she was not easy to satisfy. She had been in a few assisted living facilities and her standards were high - as were mine for her. Spring Arbor met all of our high standards - and then some. The staff is extremely well-trained and very kind and helpful. They genuinely loved Mom and it showed. Mom raved about the food. There were always activities going on. The place is spotless and the staff is so friendly. If I ever had a concern, they jumped right in and addressed it. Honestly, I can't imagine Mom being in a better place and I'm so glad she lived there.
Gorgeous community and good option for someone with more care needs.
reviewed on: 04/03/2017 by AnonymousSpring Arbor was a very lovely facility. What turned my dad away is they seemed to be understaffed when we toured. They were all in meetings and couldn't answer our questions. One perk for those are need more care is they offer a lot of handicapped rooms. My Dad didn't think he would fit in because a lot if the residents were sitting in wheelchairs. It's a gorgeous community but it felt more like a nursing home.
Some frustrations, but overall a good place.
reviewed on: 10/25/2021 by anonymousI advise families of patients with dementia to carefully keep track of dentures and hearing aids and things like that. Because Spring Arbor is not doing a good job of that for us. And that could be our expectation vs their expectation. But it's still very frustrating. It's a new facility, and they need to do more training and education. The director and management are good. But some of the daily staff don't talk to the patients properly in our experience. I understand that dementia patients can be difficult, but they need to continue to do more training. Overall the facility overall is very clean and nice.
Comfortable
reviewed on: 11/14/2018 by Sherry RossThe apartments are spacious and lad out well. The dining room is has plenty of room for wheelchairs, walkers and people to move around in. Overall the facility is pretty and welcoming. I can't say I'm happy with the medical part of this facility. You need to go with there provider to package the meds in a push pack. Our father was given the wrong medicine and the wrong amount on a number of occasions. Because dad is a veteran and he's med's are at a discount it is more of an expense for us to go though there provider. Dad is for the most part happy there.
