Community Reviews
“Kudos” to CAL an “A1” Facility
reviewed on: 11/14/2014 by Teresa G.Commonwealth Assisted Living at Radford is the “BEST!” From the very welcoming and beautiful entrance coupled with the very friendly and always smiling staff – my 92 year old mother has adjusted to her new home, staff and residents almost immediately. Because of her shyness, our family never expected her to gain such confidence to feel so comfortable and safe and to join in on all the wonderful activities that are offered. Also, she enjoys the meals as well. This all has made our lives so much easier. “Kudos” again to the entire CAL staff – you are wonderful. Keep up the fantastic work that you do!!
Caring and Attentive Staff!
reviewed on: 05/24/2017 by AnonymousMy loved one is doing very well here! The staff are very caring and attentive, and they do a very good job at taking care of my loved one's needs and requests. The size of the facility is also just right for my loved one. The whole family was very impressed with this facility!

My loved one says next to being home he is happy there
reviewed on: 03/21/2014 by Loved OneI like that they are specially trained for dementia and memory care. My loved one says next to being home he is happy there. I would like to see more staff, specifically the caregiver staff, it can take a while for someone to get to the residents, when they ring the bell. The food is not that good and the portions are pretty small. Communication between staff might be a little lacking. He is up going to activities, now and feeding himself and doing better than he has been in months.
This is a private pay community.
reviewed on: 01/25/2017 by AnonymousThey offer daily activities and the staff are nice. Mom does complain about the food as it is not as good as her home cooking. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community if you have the money for it. I would also recommend checking out numerous communities before making a decision.
