Community Reviews
Great Atmosphere
reviewed on: 09/28/2017 by AnonymousWe had 24 hours to move my mom from a community that we did not care for and get her into ManorCare Richmond. What a wonderful difference in the atmosphere at ManorCare. It is very uplifting, colorful, warm, and inviting. My mom needed to recuperate before she could come back home. The staff was very friendly and caring. They took good care of her and helped to make her as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this community to others.
Care could improve
reviewed on: 09/26/2013 by DianeI didn't really care for this one. I didn't go there to look for my mother but I remember I went to look for a friend. I didn't care for it, it was nice and clean, not because they didn't have a lot of activities but I didn't see the patients getting the care that they needed, people were just ringing the bells and no one was coming to look in on them.
Good place
reviewed on: 09/26/2013 by RobertIt's great, she's being well taken care of, good food and good staff and I owe that to a place for mom for giving me a list of places.
Upset Family
reviewed on: 05/04/2018 by Sherita JonesMy mother was a patient in this facility and my mom just passed few days ago. My families experience was horrible words can't express our hurt and pain that we feel. My mother came in here because she needed more care then we could give. My mother received bedsores because she wasn't turned ( ordered) keeping her clean was a big issue for them as well No bed side manner from staff (horrible) spoke to the administrator he couldn't change the situation either it just seem everyone wanted to pass their responsibility to others which lead us to do it for our mom. I needed to write this review because my mothers last months wasnt what I wanted for her... not all nurses were bad Danielle was wonderful her hospice nurse was wonderful but the rest ......... terrible they dont give each other report so when getting a patient and family ask questions we could never get the proper information we are told ( short staff, working long hours , I'm tired, ) When my mother passed we weren't called when she was taking her last breathe so we didnt share that moment and my mother she didnt have her children at her bedside.... We were called saying : YOUR MOTHER IS DEAD Dont put yourself or your love ones through this. Please find away to give your love one's the best care possible. This facility needs to shut down and get people with a heart to want to do that's what health care is all about... I know that very well...
Dont put anyone you love in Manor Care-The Village
reviewed on: 05/01/2019 by Pam GontkovicI had an aunt at this same facility prior to 2016 and we thought she received good care. Well, it has spiraled out of control, now. I have a relative there, now, and there has been a reorganization, Staff has left and new staff have not been hired. I have witnessed buzzer going off at the nurses station, phone ringing and there is no one at the desk. Pitifully understaffed and the food is awful.... I would think twice about having someone there. This is a reflection on the administration/management, not on the techs. They are trying, but you can't be 10 places at one time.
