Community Reviews
VERY loving , professional staff allThe way around - compassionate
reviewed on: 05/20/2020 by JulieMom needed upgraded care for a bedwound . They were excellent in their care for her . Dad moved in as a companion and was very grumpy but they never took it personally . Mom ended up passing away weeks later and the staff was so gracious to me and prayed and cried with me . The Hospice that came ( Peacehealth was amazing and only allowed what was necessary ) . Dad ended up dying 3 weeks later there also and had a lot of accidents which they cleaned up without a word . The staff was so loving to dad who had a harder process of dying than mom and they were there for him and our family and cried and prayed with us for him also . I just can’t speak highly enough about this place - perfect ? No but they truly care as if it’s their own parents , accommodate every request within reason and really we couldn’t have had a better experience . Highly highly recommend !
Loving Care at The Hampton
reviewed on: 12/31/2016 by Bonnie SeaseI chose The Hampton for my mom's vascular dementia care after viewing numerous facilities in Vancouver. The difference in the way staff interacts with "residents" is immediately apparent. My mom is treated like family, with love, and respect for the difficulties she endures with increasing dementia challenges. I also appreciated the pricing policies wherein everything is included in the monthly fee...no extra charge for bedding, furniture, towels, washing clothes, meals, snacks or distributing medicine. No surprises on the billing is a relief for family. The activities and entertainment is superb so Mom is never bored and I find myself choosing to visit her during specific times so I can enjoy the musicians as well. Mom, at 88-years-old, has been here for eight months and is so well adjusted now that recently she said "They do it all for me here. Wash my clothes. Cook my meals. Take of my medicine and entertain me as well. You should move here with me."
Nice place
reviewed on: 02/28/2014 by T BThis is a nice community, and our loved one seems happy here! It's always very clean, and the staff have all been friendly and professional. We haven't heard any complaints about the food (and knowing how picky my loved one can be that's a good sign!) All that being said, we do feel like they talked things up a bit too much during the sales process. It is a nice place, but after everything they said it wasn't quite what they promised.
A beautiful place
reviewed on: 12/29/2016 by Jay SmithThe Ashley Inn at the Hampton has a wonderful, caring staff that has made the transition to a new home for my elderly friend easy and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They keep me in the loop regarding issues, and they don't wait forever to call when something is up. It's important to me that I know what's going on and I truly appreciate their timely calls. All of the rooms are amazing; My friend has a wonderful view, and when I looked into the doors, it seemed to me that the rest were just as nice. The nursing staff is great about making sure my friend's medical needs are taken care of on time - nothing is missed. One thing my friend always complains of is the food at facilities like this, but when I ask him how it is at the Ashley, he just says 'Good!' This is not the first adult care center I've worked with, but they are by far the very best.
Best Decision I Made
reviewed on: 01/21/2017 by AnonymousMaking the decision to place my husband in memory care was the hardest decision of my life. Placing him at The Hampton was one of best decisions I have made. From day one, the staff, caregivers, and nurses all addressed him by his first name. He has been shown kindness and respect. The family atmosphere and friendly staff have helped my husband to feel welcomed and at home. The residents are encouraged to participate in the various activities and entertainment. Meals are nicely prepared and taste good. Residents' family members are welcomed at mealtimes to share this experience together. My husband enjoys our having this opportunity from time to time. Our physician recommended that my husband be in a residence where 24 hour nursing staff is available. This is another plus found at The Hampton. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of placing their loved one in memory care to talk with the staff, and take the tour of the residence. I think you will be pleased and assured of the care and respect your loved one will receive at The Hampton.
