Grateful to have found the Hampton/Ashley Inn
reviewed on: 01/01/2017 by IleneI needed to find memory care for my husband in a hurry. At that time, there were not many openings in the Vancouver area. The Director and the Director of Nursing at the Hampton gave up personal time in order to find a room for him and have him admitted. They not only came to his rescue, but to mine as well. The care he received at the Hampton Inn was superior. Every effort was made to see he settled in and was comfortable and safe. He spent a short time at the Hampton and as soon as appropriate, was moved upstairs to the Ashley Inn. The care continues to be excellent. The caregivers and the nurses are attentive, caring and treat everyone with respect and warmth. The atmosphere is homelike; everything is clean and cheerful. I am very thankful to everyone who gives so much at the Hampton and Ashley Inn.
Appreciate for excellent care.
reviewed on: 09/19/2017 by TiltRather than a specific experience, I am writing to rave about the staff at this facility. I visit a number of times a week and I find interaction between caretaker, nurse and patient to be consistently kind, patient, gentle and caring. When I walk out the door, I know my husband will be cared for and treated well. I am grateful. In particular, I would like to rave about Tammy, Keeley, Sherry, Linda and Mona not only for doing their job but going far beyond what they "have" to do. When Tammy is at work, the entire atmosphere of the floor is happier. I know that both Tammy and Keeley care for each and every resident as if they were their own family. The Director of Nursing, Amber, is always available to listen and offer advice. She is an outstanding example of how to treat others the way you would like to be treated. I'm grateful!
Not Impressed
reviewed on: 11/15/2016 by AnonymousWhen I went in to tour, it was a nice place. When I first contacted them from my list, I was told I would get information in the mail, I did not get it. After calling them they did not deal with what I needed. I kind of got the run around for a while. I did not like the feeling and I felt uncomfortable with the tour. I did not feel the warmth from the community.
Comfortable Community
reviewed on: 03/15/2016 by AnonymousI really do enjoy this community and they are taking very good care of my husband. It is a comfortable community and they are really nice and kind here. The staff is wonderful and very helpful to him and his needs. They are very accommodating even when I am there they offer me lunch for free. The community is very well kept and looks clean and nice and the food is great they have two cooks and all the food is home made which is very good. This is a really nice community that I would recommend.
Loving Care at The Hampton
reviewed on: 12/31/2016 by Bonnie SeaseI chose The Hampton for my mom's vascular dementia care after viewing numerous facilities in Vancouver. The difference in the way staff interacts with "residents" is immediately apparent. My mom is treated like family, with love, and respect for the difficulties she endures with increasing dementia challenges. I also appreciated the pricing policies wherein everything is included in the monthly fee...no extra charge for bedding, furniture, towels, washing clothes, meals, snacks or distributing medicine. No surprises on the billing is a relief for family. The activities and entertainment is superb so Mom is never bored and I find myself choosing to visit her during specific times so I can enjoy the musicians as well. Mom, at 88-years-old, has been here for eight months and is so well adjusted now that recently she said "They do it all for me here. Wash my clothes. Cook my meals. Take of my medicine and entertain me as well. You should move here with me."
