Community Reviews
Oakwood staff/Agency staff
reviewed on: 06/07/2017 by AnonymousThe week day staff is compassionate and well trained and employed by Oakwood. The weekend staff is hired from an agency and the care and compassion is lacking. They are working on fixing this but claim there are not enough people interested in this type of work.
Couldn't be happier
reviewed on: 04/20/2015 by AnonymousAfter moving our mother from another facility that wasn't providing the care she needed, our family couldn't be happier with our mother's experience at Oakwood Prairie Ridge. Every staff member we dealt with was not only wonderful with our mother, but also showed genuine concern for our entire family. Her time in the Knolls and the Meadows allowed us to see the staff not only interact with her, but with others as well. They genuinely supported us all and made sure she was comfortable her entire time there. We highly recommend Oakwood Prairie Ridge to other families looking for a place that provides high-quality, compassionate care in a beautiful facility.

Friendly people, small space!
reviewed on: 12/05/2016 by AnonymousMy tour of the Oakwood Village went well. The assisted living housing was a small room with a bathroom and no kitchen. It felt very much like a hotel room. The staff was very professional and nice, they gave me a lot of information to take home and read on which was very helpful.

reviewed on: 12/21/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerFriendly Atmosphere! Warm, clean and comfortable environment. Minimal employee turnover. The Director is a gem to work with. On site "resturant style dining" option was nice. Bright light and outdoor gardens. 1 year ave. wait for assisted living availability. Small rooms in memory care. No kitchenetts in assisted living rooms. Odor in memory care section. No transportation off site, limited activities.
