Community Reviews
A good tour
reviewed on: 06/21/2017 by AnonymousThis community was clean when we looked at it. This community was our second choice. The staff were friendly and they seemed to offer some nice amenities. We knew the director at the other community which helped us make our decision to choose that one.
Our Tour Experience
reviewed on: 10/05/2021 by anonymousOur tour at Homestead of Olathe was fine. The lady that showed us around was very nice and explained everything. It just didn't seem like a good fit for our family. And I can't put my finger on exactly why. It just came down to a feeling. . .
Improvements Needed, Overall A Decent Community
reviewed on: 06/06/2017 by AnonymousFor the most part my grandmother is doing okay since her move to this community . However I do have some concerns. I do feel they could be quicker with their response time to our concerns . Also the communication with the administration and staff could be better. She needed a new earring aid , and nobody informed me , they could do better with the monitoring of her needs . Other than those issues the staff is friendly . They do a good job with the cleanliness. They provide nice meals, and good activities for the residents. I would say it depends on your personality, or loved one. I'am not saying I wouldn't recommend this community, but it depends on the person overall.
My sister and I visited Homestead. T...
reviewed on: 12/28/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerMy sister and I visited Homestead. The facility and rooms seem very comfortable. We were impressed with The Director and the staff. At this time we are not ready to make a commitment. We feel one thing that must be done before we go any further is to get him evaluated by the Dept of Aging. I have kept all the information and will be contacting other places to visit, but right now I think we need to get Dad evaluated and then decide if Memory Care or Skilled Nursing is the most appropriate. I will let you know as we proceed. Thanks for all of your help.
Good care overall
reviewed on: 02/17/2014 by Loved oneThey've done a good job overall with the care at this facility. The care staff have all been very friendly and professional, and they keep the facility looking well kept and clean. I did have one issue that I was very unsatisfied with. They had a whirlpool tub, which was supposed to be part of my loved ones care package, that was out of commission for at least a month and a half. I really had to stay on top of them and make repeated phone calls before they got someone in to fix it.
