Community Reviews
Friendly and caring; but dated
reviewed on: 04/03/2014 by AnonymousTerrific staff. Very attentive and caring. Outstanding food, too. They could stand to update their decor a bit - a bit "late 1980s" in theme. Something to make the lobby and living areas much brighter and cheerful would help.
Good Value
reviewed on: 05/01/2020 by AnonymousLamar Court is a good value for what you need. They were transparent regarding costs and had some specials to help with moving costs. They have 3 different unit sizes and price points. They use a temp service so sometimes there are communication issues. There were also Issues with the professionalism of the temp staff. The regular nursing staff works very hard to make sure people are well taken care of and have good communication and follow up.
Very nice layout
reviewed on: 11/30/2017 by AnonymousWhat I love about the facility is their layout. The actual property, from what I understand, was previously own by Sprint a part of what was like a corporate hotel. The floor plan of the place is in a V/L shape so it is an easy layout. For residents who have dementia it’s rather easy to navigate compared to a traditional square floorplan. I liked the staff as well; they seemed friendly and very flexible. With other properties they set a one hour time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was too much of a regime for my loved one. However here, there are open hours and people can go eat anytime that they want. Another thing that was beneficial is that they accept Medicare after 12 months of private pay. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others.

Highly recommend
reviewed on: 02/24/2021 by anonymousWe have been very pleased with Lamar Court. We chose this facility because of the value for the money and we talked to a lot of people. The room sizes here are very spacious. It is a 3 story facility so it is bigger, but they do have their own staff on each floor. I would tell others looking that they will also take medicare down the road which is something that Kansas does and Missouri does not. I would highly recommend them we have been impressed.
