Community Reviews
Good Value
reviewed on: 05/01/2020 by AnonymousLamar Court is a good value for what you need. They were transparent regarding costs and had some specials to help with moving costs. They have 3 different unit sizes and price points. They use a temp service so sometimes there are communication issues. There were also Issues with the professionalism of the temp staff. The regular nursing staff works very hard to make sure people are well taken care of and have good communication and follow up.
Room Improvement, but Overall Father is Okay
reviewed on: 05/09/2017 by AnonymousMy father is doing okay since his move to this community, but I do have some concerns. He is still adjusting, and I do feel he is safe, and in good hands. One of my concerns is they are slow with getting anything fixed. He has had a/c problems, door issues. The responsive time of the maintenance needs to be quicker. The staff is kind, and very helpful. I do have to let my father know that they are there to help him when he needs it. His room is pretty clean, but they are doing some updating around the community. So the cleanliness of the community isn't the best. Hopefully when they are done, the cleanliness improves. I have had a meal, and the food is good. My father seems to like the meals. Overall there is room for improvement, but I would recommend this community.
Thanks 'a place for Mom' for finding Lamar Court
reviewed on: 02/10/2014 by AnonymousWhat a relief to have found lamar court through 'a place for mom'. Not only is the facility clean and updated with GREAT FOOD, but the staff is incredible. It is no wonder they won the Pinnacle Award last year for Assisted living facilities in Johnson County. My mom is happy there and that is what makes all the difference.
Resident
reviewed on: 06/30/2019 by TiffanyI value the sense of community here at Lamar Court. The residents have become like family to me and i really enjoy the activities and the outings that are planned for us. The staff work really hard to make sure that we're taken care of, but they could definitely use more CNAs' in order to reduce wait times before a residents call light is answered.
Mom's Happy
reviewed on: 12/18/2015 by AnonymousMy mother in law has been here for about two months. The staff is great, they have really pulled her in to the activities, she tells us that she's busy. She gets her nails and toes done every week. She sometimes complains that the food isn't good but, I disagree.
