not getting what was promised to me.
reviewed on: 09/21/2015 by AnonymousI have been a little bit disappointed in Bentley Commons at Bedford . They said they have a doctor on call 24 hours a day but actually you have to make an appointment and it's not always available. Mom was having a terrible time with medication upsetting her stomach and it took me intervening to get things resolved. They say do all of these things and they don't live up to it. I expected a lot more care especially given the price. In the speech they gave us at the beginning they said the staff would respond to them pushing a button. Well, my husband had to go there just to resolve simple issues like fixing the TV. They are supposed to do a thorough cleaning and it's hard to tell that they have done that. My mother was not getting a shower because she didn't want to and the staff weren't pushing her to. The facility is very pretty. The food is repeated a lot. I don't see a lot of socialization going on. Overall I am just not getting what was promised to me.
Living through COVID in assisted living
reviewed on: 08/27/2020 by AnonymousBefore COVID, the community was great, they have been awesome about things such as regulations and cleanliness, etc. I am more concerned about the mental health that I've watched my mother and other residents that are here struggling with due to the lock-down and lack of socialization. They tend to leave my mother for long periods of times because she is in a wheelchair. The meals are in Styrofoam containers. The residents seem to be very lonely. I love the facility as far as the space, but at the other facilities I toured recently they are getting to socialize. I think they need to be a little more creative and open more things up at Bentley Commons.

reviewed on: 12/27/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerBentley Commons is beautiful. I rate it A+ for cleanliness, friendliness of all staff including the ones we met in the hall. Dining area is very clean and choice of meals is excellent. The one and two bedroom apts that we viewed were huge as well as the companion apt. The studio was a bit on the small side. The grounds are beatiful, they have great daily scheduled activities along with postings thruout the halls.
