Best Choice I have made
reviewed on: 05/07/2020 by Gina MBI have lived at Brightwater for 3 years and plan on living here the rest of my life. I love the active lifestyle wellness programs, all the activities offered and spending time with my friends. The property is beautiful inside & out. I like being able to go to the dining room to socialize with my friends over dinner. During this COVID19 time I would be up the creek if I weren’t living at Brightwater, all my needs have been taken care of quickly.
Moved Site Unseen- Very Happy!

We had been living in Connecticut for many years and decided we would like a warmer climate and available medical options for my husband. Of great help to us, was Alice Yerkes. She helped us every step of the way and made our decision and move to such easier. Brightwater has numerous activities, the staff are great and always so very helpful. It is a wonderful community for retirement living "at its best". Since my husband passed away, I am so very happy that we made the decision to move to Brightwater and I have formed so many friendships.

reviewed on: 03/31/2020 by Mamasha5 years ago when I was 70 yrs old, I was only concerned about financial planning for the future not where I wanted to live. I knew I didn’t want to go to a nursing home. I lived in a single family house in a retirement community and because of health issues, my family suggested Brightwater a continuum care community and I would be able to live independently. I was very surprised to find resort style life, I don’t have to cook or plan activities or run out to the gym, transportation is available, maintenance is taken care of and all of these are included. The day I came to tour with my daughter, everyone was smiling and welcoming and asking are you going to move here? I felt so warm & welcomed that I didn’t have to think about this. I feel healthier today than the day I moved in because I am able to keep my mind & body busy. I feel every effort is made to secure my safety. I have always enjoyed crafts and now I have classes to encourage me to try new medias. The dining experience feels like I am at the resort, specials every day or a full menu to select from. The presentation is beautiful and a smiling staff to serve us. We have the 101 club to enjoy a cocktail & snacks before dinner with my friends. We are all part of the Brightwater family.

reviewed on: 04/25/2015 by AnonymousAttended an informational presentation after previously hearing a presentation of the Brightwater facility's various attributes. Toured one of the apartments and the stand-along home, both of which were quite nice. People seem friendly and the other amenities available are quite nice. The process for selling a current residence and moving to Brightwater seems quite comprehensive & client-friendly. It is good to know that such a facility exists for when the time comes that we need additional downsizing & more assistance with daily living. A very nice alternative to owning and managing your own home. In addition to the initial living arrangements, should the time come when a resident requires more assistance, the other facilities are within the same complex for easy access. Rather than have to be sent to an off-site facility for care, an easy change can be made to provide exactly the type of care needed.

I get to think about what I want to do. Everyone is so friendly and it is easy to make new friends with are various activities and interests. We have a council to voice our concerns and be active in our community.
